WEST COASTIN

As much as I love the Windy City, I can’t express how excited I am to leave the cold weather behind for Sunny California. There’s no better way to travel than with a personal 36 channel lineup 37,000 feet in the air.

Long distance relationships aren’t easy…

So long cold weather.

Hello warm weather.

Sugar Ray tryin’ to d’up last year’s R.O.Y Brandon Roy. I have a feeling that we’ll be bringin’ that honor back home this year with the help of Mr. Derrick “1 MAN RIOT” Rose…

Weather is nice and toasty, at least for just leaving Chicago. True story…

Long Beach Airport is tiny compared to Chicago’s O’Hare with only 1 terminal! Gettin’ in and out has always been a breeze and it was no different this time.

This is just about the width of their entire arrival/departure stop. Pretty small eh?

Arriving on 2nd Street in Long Beach. A four hour flight has made me anxious to get some good ol’ grub.

This is where we decided to do work.

I ordered the Spicy Tuna Salad from their list of appetizers. Thinkin’ it would be the size of a typical appetizer the dish ended up being bigger than most entrees I’ve ever had – the salad was fresh, the portions were big huge (they even hook it up on the raw tuna cuts) and the service was great. We also ordered the Crunch Roll & Spicy Salmon/Scallop Roll and some Clam Miso Soup. Yen Sushi on 2nd St in Long Beach, check it out…

There’s trouble brewin’

Good start to the day with a healthy dose of Taurine, 200mg to be exact. This Korean energy drink is actually the predecessor to the infamous RedBull.
